Meet Alyssa Horman
Alyssa is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges while recognizing and celebrating their unique strengths. She believes that everyone deserves meaningful connection and fulfillment, but pain, fear, and trauma can often stand in the way. Her goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment.
With a foundation in evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, Alyssa draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy to support clients in working through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, and life transitions. She takes a collaborative approach, fostering deep, genuine connections with warmth, empathy, and an open mind.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Alyssa values authenticity, connection, and continuous growth—principles she brings into both her professional and personal life. She believes in the power of shared experiences and meaningful relationships, both with her clients and in her own life. Whether she's learning something new, deepening her understanding of human connection, or simply embracing life’s everyday moments, she remains committed to personal and professional growth.
Alyssa is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Dr. Tracy Wutzke. She earned her bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University and her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology.
